Built by small business people, for small business people.
Why we're building this.
We came to this problem from both sides of it. Katherine spent years doing marketing work for small businesses — drafting posts, chasing follow-ups, stitching together five tools every week to do one job. Her mother runs a kitchen and interior design firm on Long Island and lives the same loop from the other end: a studio full of real craft, buried under software meant for companies ten times larger.
Small business software is mostly built for other companies. It's priced for other companies, designed for other companies, staffed by other companies. When you're one person, or two, or five, nobody has time to become an expert in a tool built for a company ten times their size. You need the work done.
ABBI is what we wish had existed for both of us.
How we think about it.
-
Don't lock anyone in.
Your data is yours. Your site is yours. Export either, anytime. Cancel and you're gone — no migration gauntlet, no 60-day wind-down, no hostage data.
-
Price it like a small business would want to pay.
A small monthly subscription. Usage charges only when the agents are actually working for you. No setup fees. No retainers. No monthly minimums.
-
Never train on your data.
Your email, your CRM, your books — they're not fuel for a model. Not by us, not by the AI provider under us.
-
Make the simple things actually simple.
If it takes a support ticket or a YouTube tutorial to do the basic thing, we've done it wrong.
Who's behind it.
Katherine started ABBI after years of running marketing and operations for small businesses. Her mother has run a kitchen and interior design firm on Long Island for over twenty years — a business where the craft matters, the relationships matter, and the paperwork has never quite caught up.
Watching both sides for long enough taught us the same lesson: the tools are the bottleneck, and nobody is fixing it for the people who actually need the help. So we're fixing it.
Built by people who've run small businesses, for people running small businesses — not by a tech company imagining what that's like.
Where we are today.
ABBI is live and onboarding a small number of businesses at a time. We're learning what works by watching real clients use it, and we'd rather do that slowly and well than fast and loud.
If you run a small business and any of this sounds like something you'd want, we'd like to talk to you.
